Story

Amedee de Valentione was born into Ishgardian nobility, a member of the esteemed House Valentione. Although not a member of the main house, his upbringing was still steeped in tradition and expectation to carry on the legacy of his family name. From a young age, he admired his cousins' effortless fostering of love and unity during Valentione’s Day, but unlike them, Amedee was cripplingly shy and nervous to a fault: a trait that set him apart in all the wrong ways.His childhood was filled with failed attempts to fit in. As a nobleman, he was taught swordplay, but his nerves made him a laughable duelist. He tried diplomacy, but his stammer and anxious over-explaining left even the most patient emissaries bewildered. He studied literature and poetry, but his romantic verses were so overdone that his tutors politely suggested he perhaps focus on prose instead.Despite his shortcomings, Amedee remained determined to contribute to his family’s legacy, often with disastrous results. After many failed attempts, including the infamous affinity test mishap, his participation in the yearly Valentione's day activities had had to be greatly limited.His ever patient family has gently encouraged him to find another calling. But what said calling would be, Amedee has no idea.
